Sheesh.

CT's Official Groundhog is deaf and blind.

Pretty obvious results there, eh what?

General Beuregard Lee, in Lilburn, GA, has been correct something like
90% of the time, almost twice the rate of Pauxatawny Phil. General Lee
didn't see his shadow today, it's dreary.

Our own 'Shubenacadie Sam' had a bright sunny morning waiting for him. As
expected 6 more weeks of winter....no surprise there.

Phil has only been right 39% of the time. You could do better by flipping a
coin.

Today is my sisters birthday and she didn't see her shadow, so that
should mean an early spring in MI.

Yet they said on a the radio this morning (can't believe they interrupted
for a live broadcast) that he has only been wrong 13 times since 1880....or
whenever it was that they started.

That would be by late June perhaps...?

What day is summer this year?

Tuuuk February 3rd 05 03:25 AM

krause,,,

What did you do,,, look outside,, say to yourself and everyone else that you
will stay in side all day only to go to your favorite upscale liquor store
and get your favorite alcohol by the kid you know who goes into the
cooler??? Are you supposed to mix your favorite alcohol with your meds????

must be tough huh krause,, stay home all day,,,feeling useless,, talking to
the sheriff,, watching the crowds wonder around your land, picnicking and
taking photos. Watching the deer and the buffalo roam. I wonder if it were
those unions you belonged to that made you so useless, or were that way your
whole working career? Maybe you should unionize your groundhog,, and all the
rest of your critters,,,

krause you said your dad was a hard working man,,, was he on the union also?

on July 23 last year.....

What's with you Yanks anyway? Europe hasn't relied on rodents for
weather prediction since the Enlightenment. No wonder Airbus sells
more planes than Boeing, the US Dollar's in the dumpster and
everything else in the US is made in China.

How's that 8.9% unemployment rate (for the European Union) treating you?
What's it at in Germany? 11.4%?

Your economic growth is 2.2%...about half the 4.3% that the US is
experiencing. That's gotta irk you.

Some recent headlines:

" European Union abandons ambitious goals for economy "

" German Joblessness Rises as Benefits Are Reduced"

"Euro zone jobless rate rises to 8.9 percent"

Maybe I should have said, "Europe is *almost* perfect!"
