Fogging in a confined space
 

Went over to a local hardware store and bought a can of fogging oil for my
Evinrude and the British Seagull.
The can says you can remove the spark plug and spray into the cylinders.
They recommend you ground the spark plug while turning the flywheel to avoid
damaging the ignition system. The can says the oil is extremely flammable.
Is it a good idea to do this procedure in your basement? Could the spark at
the plug ignite the vapors?

Not if the plug is grounded.
How about the pilot light on your water heater or furnace?

As long as you are sure the plug wires are grounded, you wont have a
problem with fire, however, keep lung exposer down to about eight
minutes. After that, brain damage can begine to happen.
