Begging

Our sons and daughters won't, so I'll beg for them. Here's how bad
things are

Subject: the soldiers need help

Are you aware they need food? On anysoldier.com there are requests
for some food.
There is a captain currently requesting Listerine as many are sick and
they want to avoid others getting sick and rubber gloves to help stop
spreading the sore throat and sickness.

They said the food in mess is so riddled with bacteria they are trying
to avoid it (thank you very much Halliburton).
Women soldiers have no Tampax or similar products for their periods.
The water problem is a serious problem.
And this waste of human flesh president dances the night away wasting
money that could help our troops.
I am so angry I am shaking.

They are asking that we send them microwavable items as they are
trying to avoid mess food since it's contaminated.
Also if they are in the field and miss meals it's too bad.
They also need transformers as the power is 220 and they have 110
voltage items.
If you go to www.anysoldier.com you will see requests. It is so
unbelievable. Someone has to do something.

We are sending top ramen as this was requested and Tampax to the women.
We also sent some Easy Mac. We aren't well off but send what we can
when we can.
Dammit this president is so evil. So GD evil!!!!

Specific requests at
http://anysoldier.com/WhereToSend/

Please ask your friends, your employer, anyone who can help

Yes I know it's off topic, but how about an exception in lite of the
subject matter?

I'm glad that soldiers have a way to ask for things they need or just
want that aren't readily available. No one is attempting to be GD
evil. Obviously, you've never been even close to a combat situation.

Your hyper-whining is just that.

John -- suggest you go to http://anysoldier.com/WhereToSend/. The names
and address of soldiers requesting things are listed. You can write
them and tell them what you think of their "hyper-whining".

I also suggest you give them your real name and address, a couple might
want to stop by when their in town.

Yes, I agree, many (maybe even most) are asking for popcorn, CDs and snacks,

There ARE requests on there for really down-to-earth things. Take a look at

the Government is not providing. These are pleasures.

I not saying that we can certainly make life easier/better for the soldiers

One even said they had air conditioning and heat.

Last time I was in the Army - we did not have A/C.
The Army is all volunteer. They know what they are signing up for.

As I said, we can make it nicer and why not but the Gov is not responsible
for making it nice. If they provided everyone w/ popcorn and junk food we
would get complaints about spending too much money and not feeding the

The Army provided him with an initial issue of socks and underwear.
The Army gives him a clothing allowance every month to refurbish same.
It *could* be that the local PX was out of his size, or it *could* be
that he'd rather save his clothing allowance for beer. Regardless of
the reason, there is no one in the Bush administration trying to keep
the socks and underwear from the troops as implied by Jim,.

Time for you to head back to Bangkok and crawl into your mommy's bed.

Why, Harry? Because he sees you for what you are?

If he went back home, the only job he'd get would be cleaning up the
elephant dung from the roadways.

Should one be discussing dung while following Harry so closely?

Well....let's see,,,,,,,,I've,,,,written 11 letters so far to m,y
legislators. Stop by sometime and we'll "talk". When you're released from
the emergency room, I'll show you the letters.

If they're more than just whining, post them. Maybe we'll send them to
our legislators also.

He sleeps with his mother, is obsessed with flies, makes punctuation
errors no one has ever seen before, and cannot comprehend what he reads.
That's it...I know who he is... Tuuk is the son of John Herring out of
Karen Smith of Oz, with help from Fritz, Robbins, Wally, and the rest of
the one-handed typists.

Maybe we should all put our heads together and find a good 'institution'
that could help him.

Don, it's obvious what you and Harry are putting together. It ain't
heads.

Room temperature JimH responded to my comment:

Maybe we should all pitch in and buy JimH one of those plug-in heated
rocks
that people put in the tank or cage with their pet reptiles. A couple
hours
with that rock, and JimH may seem almost as smart as his president.

Sigh...dumber than Bush...what a burden to bear.

One could be in your shoes, Harry. That would be a bitch!

Chuck has lowered himself to Harry's level. A real shame as he was once a
nice guy here.

Perhaps he can change. All it will take is to stop the lies and
exaggerations and then stop the insults.

Maybe he will give it a go.

Stop, will ya? Write your own letters! I don't want someone else's signature
on my exquisite compositions.

OK. But golly, if they're good I'd probably use them. If imitation is
a great form of flattery, what is plagiarism?
