OT Problems with Thunderbird's Bozo Filter
 

I've been using Thunderbird for a few weeks now, love the spam eater and
the newreader seems OK, except for the killfile.

Despite my best efforts, Tu,,,,,uuk's posts keep showing up.

Any Thunderbird users out there with a working killfile, who know the
secret?

I have Tuuuu,,,,k in mine as

I checked the "matches any of the following"
I have it set up as sender contains
I have his messages marked as "read" and "delete"

I run a logfile to make sure trash I want dumped is dumped. It shows me
the user name, headers, dates and time, but not the posts themselves.

Tuuuu,,,,k messes around with his email and other ID factors a little,
as does that other asswiper, Smithl, so you sometimes have to adjust the
filter to trash them.

I had the same problem.

Thunderbird has a bug with filters created from the "Message/Create
Filter From Message" method.

Try creating the filter using the
"Tools/Message Filters" menu. It worked for me.
