Advice Roamer

Long time lurker, infrequent contributor. Looking at a 1968 Roamer (VERY
preliminary stages). Steel hull of course. Would not consider purchase
without both a survey and a sea trial but since that can't take place for a
while here in Wisconsin I thought I'd solicit some input to contemplate in
the interim. Anyone personally familiar with Roamers who can lend some
advice as to areas of specific concern? A bit about me: Have a history of
both power and sailboats up to 30 ft. Have usually done all my own
work...repair and upgrades. Currently have a 25' used mostly for cruising
and diving. Have always had a thing for Roamers and this MIGHT represent a
very good opportunity. Feedback.... preferably informed and on topic ;-)
appreciated.

Don't know much about them myself but can admit to sharing your "thing"
about them. Really pretty if they're in good shape, trashy if they're
not.

Good luck in your search.
