Websites with boat reviews from actual owners

I am seeking a website or web forum containing postings of real world
experiences from boaters who have purchased a certain brand of boat...
I am considering upgrading my small boat myself and I would like to
know what others have to say about the many manufacturers of boats out
there (powerboats, bowriders in specific, also deck boats). Thanks in
advance...

At www.epinions.com you can find reviews of just about anything. I suspect
some of the reviews are planted by dealers, but I think many are from "real"
people. The boat reviews are at http://www.epinions.com/boat-Boats-All.

Happy hunting, Happy.

I think he would be better off by doing a **** load of research.
Especially things like:
manufacturer's reputation; parts used in construction; materials used in
construction; operating costs; maintenance expenses and so forth. Look
at some used models by the manufacturer and see how they have withstood
use and time, the results amy suprise you. Go to the Spring boatshows.

Ask a professional accountant about hull type and how to finance so you
can deduct interest, depreciation and upkeep. (requires bed, galley and
potty and some other stuff plus a 12 year note. If you use it for
"business entertainment" it makes one hell of a write off.)

Ask several insurance companies to provide you with rate quotes on the
hull you intend to buy. (I use State Farm's multi discount for 4
vehicles, 2 homeowner's and 3 boats. Makes a good discount package)

I own a Formula 27 PC and will brag on it anytime I get a chance. It is
my third Formula! Love the boat. Its built like a battleship and
comfortable as the lazy boy recliner at home. Fast too. www.formulaboats.com

Buyer Beware! If the dealer tried to sell you a USCG safety package for
300.00 bucks tell him to shove it. You can get all you need from a
marine supply store for about 125.00

My advice Happy: Learn all you can about the boat(s) you are interested
in. Don't rush into a purchase.
