I have a 94 Chaparral 2130 SS.
PROBLEM #1: I have noticed in the last few times out that my oil pressure is high. About 45 when idelling and about 60-70 when crusing at 80% of top speed. I checked the oil and the oil pressure sender both seem to be fine. Any suggestions? I don't know if this could be related but a friend of mine ran into a sand bar about 1 month ago (no damage or anything tho). PROBLEM#2: Also I noticed the last few times out that when cruising at normal speed i saw a blue type smoke, (nothing was overheating tho). I stopped the boat but couldn't pinpoint anything (no leaks). Then when attempting to start it it would stall out after idelling for about 20 seconds. I let it sit for about 5-10 minutes then it seemed to run fine the rest of the day. Any suggestions? Could these two things be related? Thanks for any input! -Matt |
