On-topic: GPS shutdowns?
|
"Any shutdown of the network inside the United States would come under only
the most remarkable circumstances, said a Bush administration official" Doesn't sound worth getting excited about. The government has always had the right to limit GPS coverage - remember selective availability? Might be a great idea. (just joking)
Think of the thousands of people who would be unable to navigate, at all, without an electro crutch. The sensible ones would all be off the water next summer, waiting in line to take USCG Aux or Power Squadron courses. The less sensible would succumb to Darwinism. Much more room at the more desirable anchorages, at least for a while. :-) |
