Last fishing trip pf the year. Beautiful day with light ne winds, seas 1 to 2
feet. Got out the inlet as the sun was coming up. Fished two rods down and 2 on top trolling split tail mullet and ballyhoo.. Caught 18 lb wahoo and 8 lb dolphin. Missed one other dolphin. We were back in the inlet by 8 a.m. and should have quit then but we picked up a dozen live goggle eyes and headed back out to try for a sailfish. We both knew the weather was too nice for sails but felt a little cocky after the good start. Well, 4 hours later and after having lost 2 baits to hungry sharks we gave up and came in to prepare for New Years Eve. Happy New Year to all, Barry |
