I see your point, but I wasn't trying to hide behind "true". Perhaps
"free elections" would have been a better term. The old Soviet Union had
elections, but I think we could all agree that it wasn't a democracy.
Many/most dictators have elections, but not democracy. It's just that I
really can't think of a democracy that has been overthrown by the left.
Now, on the right, you have heard of the attempted coup against Roosevelt?
