Paddler's Christmas Cards

Does anyone know where I can order some paddling related Christmas cards? I
saw the ones at paddling.net but didn't care too much for them.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve

Steve,

We have sent out paddling Christmas cards a few times. The best of
them were cards printed with a photograph I took specifically for that
year's Christmas card. One was a snowman, complete with top hat,
carrot nose and corncob pipe, dressed in a PFD, holding a paddle and
seated in a Mad River Independence.

We've also sent out a card that was a photograph of an oil painting
that a friend did (from a photograph - hows that for full circle) of
one of our canoes at a wilderness campsite.

Maybe dress up your RPM with Christmas lights, greenery/wreath and
other decorations, borrow a Santa suit and have someone take a photo.
Or take an existing photograph and do a little Photoshop or other
software magic on it.

The larger photo developing shops will have a selection of photo cards
("Happy Holidays", "Seasons Greetings", etc) that can be made using a
customer-supplied photograph.

Mike,

Why would you assume he doesn't own his own Santa suit?

The best Christmas card is a photo card that you take yourself, even if
you can see the shadow of you holding the camera out to take it yourself.

Take a picture of yourself in one of your favorite places... you can get
cards printed off in a day...

He could rent, but they are a bit expensive... Most places wanted $150
when I was calling around to rent one for the Cub Scout Christmas Party...

Course, those are top of the line suits and beards...

C'mon, John. It was a joke! How many people own their own Santa suits?

Give me SOME credit.

Happy Holidays!

I got a congratulatory card from a friend in Berkeley after I survived
a week of paddling in the Sea of Cortez. The card is also appropriate
for the season. It's a photograph by Gene Thomas-Solimando called
Peace Kayaks: 20 kayaks forming a peace sign in an anchorage near the
Golden Gate. Published by Palm Press,

I browsed holiday cards for a few minutes, but didn't find it.
