"Harry Krause" wrote in message ... Bill Clears Way for Government to Cut Back College Loans By GREG WINTER and DIANA JEAN SCHEMO NY Times Published: November 21, 2004 The federal government will be able to require millions of college students to shoulder more of the cost of their education under the new spending bill approved yesterday by the House and Senate. The government moved to change its formula for college aid last year, but was blocked by Congress. Now, however, no such language appears in the appropriations bill lawmakers are considering, clearing the way for the government to scale back college grants for hundreds of thousands of low-income students. The original article seems to skip the part about "boosting army enlistments". Is it possile that you "embellished on the truth" a little bit? |

No, I simply wrote a headline that reflects the wishes of the Bushcrap Administration...to force more of those students who want college but cannot afford the expense to consider becoming cannonfodder in the NeoFascist Wars. That's a reasonable conclusion...for a disgruntled Democrat. |

Leave to the entitlement attitude of the leibrals to conside a college education a right. Expecting a grant because you cannot afford tuition make no more sense the me wanting a grant to by a bigger boat because I cannot afford it. |
