Considering how many times the FBI has been caught red-handed either
manipulating evidence, screwing it up, or just plain lying, you really

I read an unabridged biography of J. Edgar a few years ago - he was
quite an interesting character.

Even with his...um....proclivities? - he was very smart and took
advantage of the paranoia of others.

Isn't that the role of the consummate political administrator?
