Query: What shall be deduced from the fact that Nos 1-7 on the list are all heavily socialistic in some or all aspects of their societal structure. Could the UN be using agenda-biased evaluation standards? Say it isn't so!! Query: Why is the USA still far and away the #1 preferred destination for immigrants? Is it possible that virtually the entire world population is truly stupid, and that the UN bureaucrats are the only smart ones? The immigration to the USA is mostly from countries that are lower on the list than the US is. That is correct. The best and the brightest ain't coming here as they used to... You're stereotyping. Today's immigrants are predominantly from Latin America and Asia. 30 years ago, they were mostly from Europe. So according to you, a person must hail from Europe to be considered among the best and the brightest? 20% of US doctors are foreign born. Like most countries, we have "employment preference" categories that ensure that we still get our fair share of the best and the brightest. I wonder how many docs in Ireland are foreign born? |
