Voted about 9pm. No lines. No waiting. No one asked for ID. Voted on
"fill-in-the-circle-with-a-#2-pencil" type form which was fed into a

machine
that undoubtedly scanned the ballot immediatly. I feel very comfortable

with
that - very easy ballot to get right - very easy & quick to tally votes at
the
end of the day AND there is a paper trail.

I had to deal with 3 ancient election workers who couldn't comprehend the 12
forms of ID I brought with me. When I moved and registered at the new
address, the board of elections screwed up badly. They registered my name at
a street that doesn't even exist in my zip code or voting district. My
*real* street has a slightly unusual name. Every person who read it
proceeded to ask "such-and-such drive?", and completely mangle it, coming up
with the same erroneous name as the main election office. Then, they didn't
wait for my response, but started thumbing through the street list trying to
find a street that doesn't exist. I finally got a supervisor and ended up
voting on paper.

Some of the dead wood really needs to be pushed into the river and floated
downstream.
