I may have figured out the O.T. mentality.
 

They can't post on a political group, they get no reaction. Sad way to get
attention.

I'm using outlook express for my newsgroups, and I just recently used the
tools pulldown menu to get to the filters and added OT , OT: , and OT- to
the filter list. This is great......no more annoying OT listings when I
read this group now.

Actually, this newsgroup has evolved into more of a social gathering
place over the years. Frankly, we have a few pigs here who will never be
socialized, but they don't seem to own boats, either.

Not unusual - it's happened across USENET. Chuck expressed what I've
known about for years - USENET is an outdated source for information.
Google pretty much killed the broad based information sourcing USENET
used to provide. And anybody who is interested in specialty forums,
usually tend to gravitate there.

And now I really must go finish winterizing the Contender.

If you add 'Florida Keyz' and his version, 'O.T.', it will be even less annoying.

There are those that boat, and those that post O.T.
