I have always found gear lube to be especially stinky... and nearly impossible to wash off.... The question came to mind because I took my lower unit to the shop yesterday to get the anti-ventilation plate repaired. The aroma in the station wagon after the unit sat in there closed up all morning with a little bit of residual oil in it was breath taking. |
