O.T. any boaters left on this list?
Just wondering
|
Yeah, I'm still here- too busy wading through the brainless morons
posting lame political crap who don't have a life, can't get it up and aren't getting any anyway, to participate. Besides, boating season is pretty much over up here in Seattle, at least for us trailer-types. JR Florida Keyz wrote: Just wondering |

Have to agree. A few years this was a first class boating form. Boaters communicating with boaters. That changed when a couple of users started sniping at each other. It went downhill from there and ended up constant bickering between a few subscribers hiding behind there keyboards. It sort of reminds me of the idiotic present day roadrage thing on our highways, folks get caught up in the heat of the moment thing, and can't seem to let go. The silly thing, prior to this, the silly users were up to posting informative and interesting boating topics. This is my first visit back in a year hoping that some users had gone away, alas it has worsened and been reduced to political debates Ah well, at least fortunately, there are some really good forums that are worth visiting. To **** off the small minded old ladies who almost *never* post anything except a gossipy bitch about the behavior of others. Suppose it works? Next time you run into such a small minded gossipy old fart sack, why don't you ask, and see? |
I know this will only apply to the ignorant, but your statement proves my
point. You have said it more clearly than I ever could have. Way to go gould!@ |
I've been blocking off topic posters since about 2 weeks before the
election. I must have 25 or more blocked but now there are more boating posts than off topic ones. A note to boaters who reply to off topic posts with long rants: Once blocked, even your boating related posts will no longer be seen. My recommendation is to block block block! -- Denis Roy D. My 14' yacht is imprisoned in the garage because it's 29 ****ING DEGREES AND
SNOWING, and I WANNA KILL SOMETHING BECAUSE I CAN'T FISH! I've had nightcrawlers in the refrigerator so long, they're big enough to strangle a small child, like a boa. So yeah...there are some boaters here. Just be careful about their moods right now. |
My recommendation is to block block block!
And since none of you guys who "block block block" ever contribute anything except a technically OT rant about your personal kill file lists, you'll be looking at an empty NG pretty quickly. "Course you won't see this. :-) |

Dec 21 is the Winter Solstice, it's just a hop, skip and a jump until boating season. Just trying to cheer you up a bit. Well, the yellow poich (that's poich, not perch) are still biting. All I need is a day with minimal wind and I'm out there. |

I just came back in from fiddling with the 18' x 26' canvas tarp I threw over my weekender sailboat. The ends were sitting on the ground where the boat was narrower (pointy end). It's about minus 1.5 C, but sunny & windy here. The weather has been so damp & windy here, I don't even want to thing about boating. |
"JimH" wrote in message ... Yikes! "Pointy end"?? My eyes hurt Don. I thought you were a boater. That was for the benefit of the landlubbers in the group. (read..inland on Great Lakes) Us seafaring folk know our bow from the stern. |

Spin has nothing to do with this. It's a word used to describe the way a woman's vaginal secretions get thick & stringy when she's ovulating. Everybody knows that. |

You won't believe this Bill, but one of my good friends in high school got his draft notice, it was too late for college entrance, so he left for Bahamas and stayed there. Working the fishing boats and guiding, he built up a nice little nest egg and bought a beachside hotel, catering to the sal****er flyfishing snobs. Years later, he was pardoned by President Carter, returned to the US, did some community time, sold his hotel and now owns a terrific resort and fishing camp in Costa Rica - which I visit once a year for free - not a dime goes from me to him. :) Later, Tom |
