Boats floatin' down the Ohio

Anyone living on the upper (and at some point mid or even lower) Ohio River
that sees lots of boats go floating by - look for a 1990 Sunbird Corsica 188
Cuddy. Yep, I bought it about 3 weeks ago and now it and most of the rest of
the boats and docks from the Washington's Landing Marina (Pittsburgh -
Allegheny River) are "out there" somewhere. Hey if it hasn't busted up on a
bridge pier or gone over a few dams by now it may be stuck on the side or
someone may catch it for a salvage fee. Otherwise I'm just glad I went ahead
with full coverage insurance.

Oh well. I coulda been in Florida ;)

That's a bummer.

Then again, I saw your boat in TV last night!!!! :)

I watched yesterday a friend's 50ft Gibson go over lock 4 on the Allegheny.
Great to be insured!

Well, ya don't have to look anymore. The boat was found upside down
along the riverbank about 80 miles (and 4 dams) from where it started.
It ended up about 12 miles above Wheeling WV. From what little I could
see after rappeling down the 25' bank to where it was resting, the
windshield is gone, the outdrive is trashed and just hanging on, the
driver's side is at best caved in and separated at the seam but may
actually be busted open. Since it is upside down in the mud I could
not see the inside, engine, etc., but it is a total loss. I shoulda
put a higher insurance value on it ;) Anyone have a nice little cuddy
they wanna sell cheap in the Pittsburgh area? I promise I will try to
keep it more than 3 weeks this time.

Hi Dave,
What's your price range? I know of a good cheap 23 ft. that could be delievered
to you for the right price. Located on lake Erie right now and set up for
fishing/cruising. Top speed about 33 knots with 5 adults onboard. It's owned by
a friend so you would need to contact him for more details. It's about a 4 hour
drive to look at it.

John
