A nice day fishing in Seattle

Went out trolling for salmon today. Haven't used the boat in a few weeks,
so it was nice to get out on the water. Since I was feeling lazy, we
didn't do our normal get on on the water at the ass-crack of dawn
trip. In fact we didn't get launched until one in the afternoon or
so. It was a calm ride from our launch at Mukilteo, WA to our first
fishing stop at Edmonds, WA. We trolled for two hours and didn't catch
jack squat, plus there were a few hundred boats there competing in a
fishing derby. Decided to take a short run to Point No Point, where we
found only two other boats and a few guys casting from shore. On the way,
we stopped to watch a pod of 20-30 porpoises swimming and jumping, while
we ate a late lunch. At the Point, we managed to catch one 10 lb silver
salmon, broke one off right at the boat, and had one snap the line right
after it struck. Saw tons of harbor seals. On the way home, stopped to
look at some Sea Lions lounging on a bouy, and saw a bald eagle perched on
a tree (we've seen it there before, must nest nearby) Finished the day
with a nice dinner of grilled salmon, steamed artichokes, and
roasted potatoes. Beats working on the house for yet another weekend.

So, does anywone think it is important to discuss which looser gets
wlected "president", or is it more worthwile to take the day off and go
fishing?

IMHO
Fishing wins handsdown,
but if the wrong guy starts WWIII it will all be a moot point.!!!
