Coincidence or Cause and Effect?
Hypothesis: Is it possible for an engine compartment mounted transducer to
cause malfunction of the engine component electronics? Specifically, last season, I mounted a Hummingbird transducer under my 5.0 Mercruiser efi, using the epoxy method. The installed devise works great, however, after about two weeks time, an electronic sensor in the distributor needed replacing and the injectors needed some tweaking. These could be a random unrelated events, supported by either the chaos theory or by Murphy, but, somehow a direct cause and effect relationship would be more comforting, with regard to preventing a reoccurrence. |

Maybe re-read the chaos effect, then check for butterflys (not hummingbirds)
in your bilge. "Jim Irvine" wrote in message ... Hypothesis: Is it possible for an engine compartment mounted transducer to cause malfunction of the engine component electronics?
