Default Sailing Forums?

I am looking for some decent Sailing forums.

I have had "the bug" for a sailboat for as long as I can remember and
now, living within an hour and half of Lake Lanier in Georgia (big
lake, lots of sailboats on it) I am REALLY wanting to get one.

Thanks!

Stop Looking for forums and go down to the local sailing club instead.

I plan on it...however I can only get there on the weekends. Since my
job requires me to sit on a computer all day with a T3 access I
thought it would be nice to talk with like-minded folk while I work
the salt mines!

political one.

Please no political one! I am also an avid motorcyclist and all of my
favorite forums have turned into nothing more then political
forums...ugh.

Tom,

I was going to suggest that you go to the Sailnet.com - click
Discussion Lits, but I looked and there is no Lake Lanier list (not a
big surprise).

If you go to the LLSC site, you might find out something of value.

Another vote for TrailerSailor.com. If you're looking for a lot of
information, in particular about trailerable, more affordable boats (but not
necessarily small boats). I think there may even be a few members up your
way. In fact, I could swear there's a guy on our Precision forum up around
there.

Sailnet.com I find is good for larger boat, racing oriented discussion.

Newbies are very welcome at TrailerSailor.com

For mags, Sail is probably the best "all around" magazine. Good Old Boat is
fabulous. I don't care for the rest much, but read them all when there's
something on the cover of interesting.

Trailersailor.com is a good one. Most of the focus is on trailerable
sailboats but there are quite a few on the forum with larger boats.
