USENET is unmoderated and uncontrolled... your only options a

1) Be irritated by things you don't want to read.
2) Filter out objectionable material by manually ignoring it or by
automating filters
3) Never look at a USENET newsgroup again.

Expressing exasperation is what many, if not all, of these politicos
want to see. Calling them names only serves to encourage their
behavior.

If you ignore them with automatic filters, they don't go away, but
they certainly appear to. That is "my way."

My guess is John is like Sterling, addicted to OT posts and OT whinning.

They will never use filters or kill files no matter how many times you point
them out to them.

They're just like people who profess to hate Howard Stern or Rush Limbaugh, but
listen to them everyday.

Tis the season for political threads I guess. I have recently post a

boating related threads here and they garnered a total of about 5
responses. I
posted an anti Kerry thread and it garnered nearly 200 responses. Oh well,

The political talk is no different here than what we have on the docks or
at
our boat Club. We talk about other things than just boating there so why
not
here.

Post some boating threads they will get some responses even if minimal in
nature.

Seems a little odd to me. In all my adult life and all the boats I have
owned, all the time I have spent on the water tied up to more than a few
hundred boats at a time politics have NEVER come up. But then again, we
find watching grass grow more entertaining that talking about politics. WHO
CARES!!!!!
