The big bummer is both times I was in the water before I knew it, and had to
go to the gas dock instead of the gas station.

use some light type of glue, and glue a small piece of fishing line to
the cap, and to the neck, or deck. If it's unglued, you know someone
is stealing it, and you can then take more drastic measures.
