Mercury outboard efi bigfoot fire... ooops...?
 

Howdy,

A dear friend has a McGregor sailboat with a Mercury 50 horse
outboard. It is a "Bigfoot" EFI four stoke. It recently caught fire
(everyone is fine).

As of now, it is too early for him to know the cause... (if that will
ever become clear) but Merc is rebuilding the engine for him under
warrantee.

Are there others out there who have had similar problems with this
outboard?
