Linoleum to Wood Interior Deck
 

Want to take out the linoleum floor in the galley and head area of my
1984 40' Jersey Convertible and replace in wood. What is the best
type of wood to use? Teak? Mahogany? Prefinished stock from Home
Depot? Parquet? Current lineoloem is over original 3/4" plywood. I
need a relatively thin material in order to preserve existing
clearances for hatches in head and stateroom. Want to use material
that will also be easy to cover access hatches to the bilge area. If
successful, will consider expanding to carpeted saloon and stateroom
areas. Suggestions please!

You can buy a Teak & Holly veneer, or you can replace the 3/4 with either a
preveneered ply, or real teak & holly. Home Depot parquet doesn't hold up in
a marine environment, been there, done that.
