I'm sure that the Floyd family will donate a substantial amount
of the 27 million to rebuilding the destruction that will be done
in Floyds behalf.

I bet Crump took $13.5 million of it already.

Just for fun, let's take a perfectly healthy white cop who has never had
a drink or taken opioids or had a tough life and have a big guy step on
his neck for nine minutes and 29 seconds and see what happens...

Why a big guy? Floyd outweighed the cop by at least 75 lbs and several inches of muscle. Look at the video again... the cop has some skinny arms. Floyd was bulked up. He must have been working out between hits on the crack pipe. His size was referenced as one of the reasons the cops had to subdue him.

Besides, the medical examiner has already said that he didn't die from asphyxiation. His heart gave out from an overdose and years of abuse. In your fantasy situation said cop would walk away. So would have Floyd if he'd laid of the drugs and had just gotten into the car.

Did anyone notice that Floyd said he didn't want to be in the cop car because he was claustrophobic? Did everyone forget the fact that the police got him out of a car to begin with? One he was passed out in and was with his drug dealer?

And then there's this:
"A key witness in the trial of Derek Chauvin is threatening to invoke his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination because his lawyer contends anything he says about his alleged drug activity with George Floyd could leave him vulnerable to being charged with third-degree murder in the death of the 46-year-old Black man.

Morries Hall, currently in jail, appeared via Zoom at a court hearing on Tuesday morning in which his attorney argued he has no immunity from prosecution that stems from testimony about his and Floyd's behavior while seated in a Mercedes Benz SUV shortly before police arrived on May 25 and arrested Floyd.

In his opening statement last week, Chauvin's attorney, Eric Nelson, told the jury they would hear from Hall, who has been identified during trial testimony as an alleged drug dealer from whom Floyd obtained narcotics.

"This will include evidence that while they were in the car, Mr. Floyd consumed what were thought to be two Percoset [painkiller] pills," Nelson said during his opening statement, naming Hall and Shawanda Hill, Floyd's former girlfriend, as passengers in the SUV with Floyd outside the Cup Foods prior to police arriving on scene.

Police were called to the store after Floyd allegedly used a phony $20 bill to purchase a pack of cigarettes.

"Mr. Floyd's friends will explain that Mr. Floyd fell asleep in the car and that they couldn't wake him up to get going, that they thought the police might be coming because now the store [employees] were coming out," Nelson said.

Nelson has been attempting to undermine the prosecution's primary allegation that Chauvin killed Floyd by burying his knee in the man's neck for nine minutes and 29 seconds, cutting off blood to his brain. Nelson has countered that a combination of the powerful drugs fentanyl and methamphetamine, both found in Floyd's system during an autopsy, and undetected heart disease is what killed the man, making Hall a valuable witness to Chauvin's defense.."

Fentanyl, methamphetamine and Percoset. Yeah, it was a knee on his shoulder blade that killed him. Uh-huh.

Since there was no sign of trauma and asphyxiation in the original

I also pointed out, if he had at any time said "I give up, I will get

If you fight with the cops or refuse to obey a lawful order from them
bad **** happens.
It is interesting that you and Wayne don't seem to have any trouble at
all with the cops shooting an unarmed white woman for trespassing tho.

===

It was much more than trespassing - more like breaking and entering
combined with assault or attempted assault. I firmly believe the cop
thought that he and/or members of congress were in danger, and they
probably were.

Bull****. She assaulted no one, and didn't get through the window.

===

I'm surprised that you are so quick to defend lawless behavior like
that.

I'm surprised you're OK with police killing an unarmed, defenseless woman.

If this is the new response, I am OK with it but be consistent. Shootthe next people attacking a federal building. Maybe Portland, Chicago, Minneapolis and the riots in the other citieswould have been stopped quicker if the cops shot as soon as they felta little threatened. Oh wait, that is what started that mess in the first place. Good thing Babbitt was white huh?===Probably so. It was her mistake to be leading the charge trying to break down thedoor to the inner chamber. She might have been the only one in good enough shape to climb throughthat window. You have to remember 3 protestors and a cop died from cardiopulmonaryproblems that day and I saw a whole lot of BMI 30+ folks huffing andpuffing trying to get up those steps.

I think you and Wayne ought to have another look at the videos. If
I recall correctly she was carried to the front of the pack and
helped through the window.

Is a woman who is attempting to break into a secured area less guilty
than a guy?

The Capital is "our" house, and is open to the public except for Sundays and certain holidays. As Justan points out, since when is attempted trespassing a capital offence?

You're starting to sound like what you accuse Trump of being.

===

Breaking and entering is regarded as much more serious than simple
trespass. And the mob, which she was a part of, was demonstrating
violent behavior and had already broken through other barriers. The
armed guards had locked the doors and were attempting to provide
safety for members of congress.

Try forcing yourself onto a nuclear submarine sometime, claiming that
as a citizen, it is your boat. Send us a postcard and let us know how
it went.

It was much more than trespassing - more like breaking and entering
combined with assault or attempted assault. I firmly believe the cop
thought that he and/or members of congress were in danger, and they
probably were.

Bull****. She assaulted no one, and didn't get through the window.

I'm surprised that you are so quick to defend lawless behavior like
that.

I'm surprised you're OK with police killing an unarmed, defenseless woman.

Shoot and kill an unarmed person breaking and entering you home in many states, and you'll go to jail. Oh, and she hadn't even entered. She was looking through a broken window that she didn't break. The fact that no other protesters were shot and killed is very telling. The cop screwed up, big time.

A nuclear sub has no public touring hours, and is hardly the same. Nice try, though.

Look, I don't agree with the actions the protesters took. But the cop shot an unarmed person with no evidence that she intended to inflict anyone any harm. The only reason DC didn't burn is because her skin is white. That's a fact.

Mobs take on a life of their own and bad things result. My maternal
grandmother, born in 1890, always had a simple explanation: If she
hadn't been there it wouldn't have happened.

Ofcourse, those were just 'peaceful protests'. Bull****.And, FWIW, I dismiss none of Trump's illegal activities (once adjudicated assuch) regardless of my support

That said, Iregard any attempt to subvert a free and valid election, which thecourts have ruled, to be very serious. Hopefully you do also. The riots of last summer, and the
resulting damage, are a totallyseparate issue. It could be argued however that Trump's inflammatoryrhetoric was at least partially responsible. Loose cannons rollingaround on deck can do a lot of damage. (please note clever boatingreference)If this was the first time cities burned, I might agree with you. Letssee if you
blame Biden in a week when Minneapolis goes up in flames.

Since there was no sign of trauma and asphyxiation in the original
autopsy report, nothing. He was just restrained.

I also pointed out, if he had at any time said "I give up, I will get
in the car" the whole thing would have been over.

If you fight with the cops or refuse to obey a lawful order from them
bad **** happens.
It is interesting that you and Wayne don't seem to have any trouble at

Not defending her behavior at all. It was wrong and she should have been justly
punished for it - not killed.

What I'm defending is the truth. You and others here insist on spreading
bull****.
