a boating day.

After working on the boat, we had a nice day forecast. Low winds and
mostly sunny. Went to San Leandro Marina as it is one of the closer
launches to the bay. Got some squid and went out to the ship channel.
Deeper water. Anchored up with my new 11# claw. Great purchase. Held the
boat in some sloppy water and medium winds. Much easier to lift up to boat
then the 25# danforth. Fishing was good. First hooked up a killer mud
marlin. Really a Very large Bat Ray. Arsh kicker. Took a oooong while to
get to boat, too big for net and don’t want to gaff, so cut the line.
Probably a 60-70# fish. All the rest of the fish caught were leopard
sharks. Maybe 20” to 3’. Boat ran well, need to adjust reverse.

Sounds like fun. Can you eat leopard sharks?

Had to look up the mud marlin, which I'd never heard of.
