Glad to see National Guardsmen activated
 

It's nice that they can stand around smoking and shooting the **** and pick up a
few extra bucks for doing so. They get two days pay for every day they work, so
not too bad a deal. Most decent companies will pay their normal wages when
they're activated. Hope these days stay nice and peaceful.

I wouldn't take that idea as gospel. IBM, back when IBM was a great
company to work for only matched your salary minus your reserve pay.
You had to submit your pay stub from the reserves and it was deducted
from your next pay check.
