I didn't think to look but I bet it is no brighter than venus on a close approach. They do tend to hype these things a little. A month or so ago something was supposed to be as bright as the moon. What was actually true was it was the second brightest thing in the night sky but there was a huge gap between #1 and #2. It was just a slightly brighter "star". |
