What a wonderful firearm to use inside the house for home protection...heavy, loud, complicated, not so easy to aim properly indoors. Ayuup. Aim properly? Just point it and pull the trigger, dumbass. Exactly.* Shotguns don't require perfect aim and they don't kill people in the other room with the correct ammo.* It's also easier to use than my Blasers. They do require aiming. Depending on the choke, in 12’ you may only have a 12” pattern. Typically, one uses a Mossberg or Remington pump action for home defense because they are more more reliable, simpler, and easier to handle. Most people would shoot what they got. Mossberg is a cheapest decent priced one, so very common. Most people think they are going to,clear a room with a shotgun blast. Too many bad westerns and shootemups. My Rem 1100 full choke at 20 yards has about a 36” pattern. At 10’, about a 6” pattern. But the fear induced from he bad shootemups applies to bad guys also. So rack the shotgun and they most likely give up. Is that a guess? We pattered a lot of skeet guns when I was in that league and a skeet choke throws a tighter pattern than that. |

What ammo is not going to be deadly through 2 sheets of drywall, At indoor ranges where the pattern is about the size of a coffee cup? I wouldn't want to be on the other side of the wall if it was a 2.5dr equivalent load of #9s. That is a light skeet load. I think Alex's experience with firearms goes no farther than looking at youtube videos. Remember the days when you'd poke holes in a paper target with a pencil and then show us what a good shot you were? That worked until someone enlarged the photo and found a pencil mark lading to one of the holes. Just more of the right-wing bull**** that oozes around here. -- 210,000+ Americans will never recover from the incompetence of Donald Trump. :( |

Mine was a duck gun, and the 10’ range is pretty close to what we saw when we shot a board at about 10’. Might be 25 yards on the 36” pattern. |
