Let’s Government employees are getting full pay, not working, full
medical. 30 million others are out of work, getting 6 weeks of dole from
the government. Nancy is now pitching a $3 T aid bill. Who is going to
survive losing their homes, their lives from no food? How is Nancy and the
government going to pay the $3 T plus deficit? How about sensible rules?
How about the constitution? How about Congress being required to show
funding for all mandates they pass?

I have been saying all along the courts are going to be choked with
Covid suits and challenges to these unconstitutional executive orders.
Musk has the money and standing to set a precedent that will ripple
through the courts for a decade ... unless Alameda County quietly
settles and I bet 50 state's attorney, along with the feds, will be
pressuring them to do so.

The debt is a whole other problem that we will be living with long
after anyone gives a **** about this panicdemic.

BTW
It was pointed out that the 68-69 Hong King flu killed 100,000 (per
capita that would be 150,000 today) and nobody was wearing masks, we
didn't run out of anything and they did not cancel Woodstock.

Tourism is important in some areas like Orlando and Key West but there
are huge numbers of retirees in Florida who contiue to get their
pension checks and social security regardless of what the overall
economy is doing. I don't have hard numbers at hand but I suspect
that health care is a bigger business than tourism.

A lot of people will have to move up north and that may happen anyway
with this virus, since the service industry is crumbling but in this
area a whole lot of people brought their money with them. This used to
be a retirement community and I would be just as happy if it had
stayed that way. Orlando may be in deep **** if they can't get those
parks going soon.

In Lee, Charlotte and Collier County I would bet on it. We do get a
bit of medical tourism too. That is why our hospitals are empty now.
They shut down all of the elective procedures.
Hendry, Glades and Desoto do more in agriculture than they do in
tourism. (probably most of central Florida as soon as you get 30
miles from the beach and away from the mouse).
