Cutting the grass...
 

Working from home, and yesterday I decided to take a break and, you guessed it, cut the grass. Well, more like pick up the few leaves, bits of acorns, and dead grass that is there while it's starting to green up. The temp yesterday was 87.

Because the pollen is kicking in right now, I went to the shop to get a dust mask. I had bought a box of them to use while sanding or grinding in the shop, doing a quick spray of paint from a can, etc. Imagine my surprise when I noticed they are N-95 masks! Maybe if it gets bad I can trade a few for some TP and Purell. :)

the theories about this corvid-19 virus was that once temps were in the
60-70 degree range or higher, it caused the virus to become inactive or
something. Had something to do with the "crowns" on it's surface.

Apparently that theory has been shot to hell. Florida's number of
confirmed cases continue to climb.

The 87 was just a blip for a couple of days. We should be in the low-mid 70's. I think they are saying 81 today, 71 tomorrow. I'll take it.

We went out earlier this morning to a store in the mall area. What is normally a busy, bustling area had little traffic. The only full parking lots were the Publix grocery store and Home Depot. Supposedly folks sitting around their house all day are noticing home projects that need to be done. Luckily, my wife is staying busy with work so I haven't had any new projects added to the list. Yet.

I was at Home Depot couple days ago. Surprised at how many construction
people were shopping. I had the water heater go out, so had to,get a new
one. Cool, high 50’s and rainy.

That "theory" was one Trump was pushing in the absence of scientific basis.

That "theory" was one Trump was pushing in the absence of scientific basis.

"That" comment is Fake News.

The person I heard it from was a scientist
and expert in the field.

I have a couple of 3 packs in the garage but I am more afraid of the
spraying and grinding I do than the virus so I am not using them for
this.

I think we really need to analyse that closer before we decide. Most
started with a traveler coming here and if the spread is all inside,
in the AC, we might not get a true picture of how heat affects it. The
question might be if construction and landscape workers end up with a
lower infection rate than office types ... if there were any offices
open. We already know it goes like wild fire in a nursing home but
that is air conditioned space. It is hard to know if you are in
Florida or Washington State.

Those beach goers might have also been a good test bed if they weren't
rolling around in their rooms all night.
