Mr. Luddite[_4_] March 3rd 20 06:37 PM

Donna Brazile finally cracks

The pressure is obvious and the hypocrisy runneth over.

Donna Brazile, the former DNC Interim Chairperson and CNN
contributor blew up this morning, irritated by RNC
Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel's comments that the
Democrat nomination process may be "rigged" against
Bernie.

Brazile lost her cool, telling McDaniel to "Go to Hell"
several times and telling her and other Republicans to “stay the hell
out of our race,” adding that she’s “sick and tired” of Republicans
telling her about the Democrats’ process.

Brazile had to resign from CNN after she "leaked" certain questions
to the Hillary 2016 campaign that would be asked during a debate.
It was later discovered that she had done this more than once.

At first Brazile denied everything but finally in March of 2017
she admitted to sending the questions in emails. She commented,
"If I had to do it all over again, I would know a hell of a lot more
about cybersecurity."

She landed on Fox News after being canned from CNN and serves
as a "contributor".

Imagine that. A high ranking Democrat (who is also a
super-delegate) scolding Republicans on what they can
do or say.

You just can't make this stuff up.

There's nothing rigged. At Bernie's request, the super delegate rules
were changed after 2016 and he got what he wanted. If Bernie gets the
required number of delegates during the first vote at the Convention,
he'll get the nomination. If he doesn't have enough delegates and no one
else does, there will be a second vote in which the committed delegates
may change their votes and the "super delegates" may vote for the first
time. That's what Bernie wanted. Now, he is saying whoever arrives at
the Convention with the most delegates should win.

If I had a say in this, I'd say
"**** you, Bernie."

Why are there Super Delegates in the Demoncrat party at all. The only
reason to have Super Delegates is to form a backstop against the
"wrong" candidate getting a majority of votes at the convention. Yeah,
they threw Bernie a bone and said if you can walk in with a majority of
non-Super Delegates you can get the nomination but, if you fall one vote
short we are going to toss you to the side when the Super Delegates cast
their votes.

Why not just have regular delegates? Free them from their commitments on
after the first vote? Have a real convention!

Her only regret seems to be that her emails were so poorly secured
that she got caught in her corruption of the process.
The democrats certainly are afraid of a little sunshine on their
operation.

The DNC apparatchiks may just do that. Last minute rule changes are
far from unheard of, particularly with the democrats. Have you ever
heard the real story of how Harry Truman got the VP nod in 1944?
It was a total sham. The Wallace people were simply gavelled down

I went to college in the area, worked for the KC Star, interviewed
Truman and met him a number of times, but, golly gee, I had no idea. :)

Wallace was off the ticket months before the convention. He simply
didn't know it. And Truman wasn't the first choice to replace Wallace.

Hey, a copy boy at a small time newspaper in the early stages of his series of failed jobs got to do all the important stuff! Doncha know?

You know they write this **** down and there was a lot more intrigue
around the VP pick than you seem to want to admit.
Maybe Truman remembered things differently when he was almost 90 or
maybe Pendergast, never told him but the fix was in from the 40s
version of neocons to get rid of Wallace, no matter how much support
he had from the delegates. It certainly set the stage for the cold war
and the 45 years of brinkmanship that followed.
