The rich Canadians who also own houses here are skewing the numbers. They come here in the winter to escape the horrid weather there and catch up on the healthcare that the poor Canadians can't get or have to wait months or even years in the cue to get. At least here in America everyone rich and poor has access to healthcare on a timely basis. That's why even the socialists say, "Socialism's a bitch!" |

If you have food, clothing and shelter, but only one TV and car, you're poor. Where you live makes a lot of difference too. In DC the poverty assistance programs can give you as much as $50k a year. You don't want to be poor in Idaho. http://gfretwell.com/ftp/Welfare.JPG |

Probably thinks he's entitled because he had a 5 year vacation in the Navy. |

There was no indication Justan was looking for anything other than clarification of Harry's statement. Perhaps, instead of a feeble attempt at being a smart ass, you might clarify Harry's statement. |

I would like you to substantiate your claim that many impoverished poeple cannot qualify for Medicaid. I am assuming that you are talking about US citizens, but knowing you as we do, maybe not. You are such a turd, the likes of which Donnie has never flushed or plunged in his distinguished janitorial career. Here's an idea: Ask your good buddy Herring to ask me indirectly 15 or 20 times and see if that induces me to respond to your query. Oh, wait, that won't work, either. |

Actually, I don't agree with you but, of course, that never stops you from misinterpreting. Certainly there are some who cannot qualify for Medicaid because they have income or assets higher than what is allowed, but there are far more more and and more complicated reasons, and a lot of that is due to the ability of individual states to run their programs as they see fit. That is the great thing about the USA. If you don't like how a state is run, you can move. |
