Illinois, Indiana, etc, are having a huge mosquito problem also, as I understand it.

Tim, are you seeing a lot more mosquitos out there?

Yes! Huge “black bombers” all this die to the 10” rains we had last month causing ditches to over flow and flooded back water places.

These things drill right through heavy denim. Awful.

But they are letting up some...

Here is central SC we were fortunate to escape most of the effects of Florence, and the mosquito problems are minimal. We are having to be careful however... two birds have been found dead and tested positive for West Nile. I need to buy stock in Thermacell.

Since Irma, a chain saw and a Ford truck cleaned out the swale behind
my house our mosquitoes have been very mild. I see one occasionally
but nothing like it used to be. The ones that are nasty here are the
deer flies. They take a bite out of you. That used to just be a month
or so in the spring but they are still everywhere this year.

Be careful of the West Nile. My buddy died 4 years ago, was suspected
West Nile. Better tests now.
