So now Richard Blumenthal ...
 

.... is addressing the committee, softening his tone, making apologies to
the Chairman for the inappropriate displays by both sides but basically
*begging* that a vote to recommend confirmation to the full Senate be
delayed, for the same old, same old reasons.

No wonder the Marine Corps put him in charge of running "Toys for Tots"
in New Jersey.

I suppose that explains his confusion. He thought they were talking
about the "Tot offensive" when he said he was there.
