I was on a boat when the attacks occurred. Was on a 3/4 day fishing trip
to Mexico out of San Diego. We were traveling when we watched the 2nd
plane crash in to the towers. The big Sportfishing boats do have
satellite TV. We were informed that both San Diego Bay and Mission Bay
were closed to water traffic. A lot of the west coast Pacific Fleet
berths in San Diego Bay. So we did go fishing. Did catch tuna, and when
they finally opened up Mission Bay for traffic we and a big bunch of other
boats pulled in. I was out of Seaforth Fishing in Mission Bay, so was
easy to return to our place in Mission Beach, but all the Point Loma boats
were double and triple tied at Seaforth and the other landings and waiting
for bus transport back to Point Loma.

Here it was all the airliners coming west but refused entry to American air space.
Between Halifax and Newfoundland, there must have been close to a hundred planes allowed to land and passengers put up in shelters...fed etc.

I've found most Canadians to be friendly, generous and kind-hearted people.

True. A shame.
