Coming back from Santa Cruz one day, BMW in center lane on highway 17 signals to go left and does a sweep to the right to the off ramp. A couple of lanes crossed. At least he used a turn signal. I think almost all cars come with the lane change signal. Even my truck has it. I'm too ham-fisted to properly operated the damn thing and end up with the turn signal on. |

Most auto drivers think it means 'you talk too much'. Lots of truck drivers understand it, or at least will look around to see what the problem is and eventually shut off the signal. https://www.motorcyclelegalfoundatio...signals-chart/ Although the 'Turn Signal On' signal is shown off to the side, it's used over the head also. |

It used to be mostly old geezers who were oblivious to the world. Now it is also youngsters, screwing with their phone or a dash board toy. I also almost got T boned by a fire truck once that was running about 50 without his siren. He blew that air horn after I was already in the intersection. (on a green light) When I called the fire house with a WTF the chief told me they only used their sirens/horns when they saw a conflict because of complaints from the neighbors. |

In Germany, it is the dream of most Germans to own a Mercedes. This was told to me by several Germans. When they can afford it, that's what they get. The taxi drivers use them because people would rather ride in a Mercedes than a Volkswagon. |
