Teddy used to walk his Portuguese water dog, Splash, down from the Hill and stop in to see an old friend of his at ULLICO, and if I was there, I got to dogsit for an hour or so. It's not the last resort but in your case, it is accurate. None of the practicing christians I know share your right-wing, unforgiving stance on so many societal matters and social issues. My late father-in-law was a right-winger and a devout christian, but he didn't put down others for their human foibles and shortcomings. Indeed, at my father-in-law's funeral, the minister spoke at great length about the help he offered others in serious need, and his refusal to engage in judgmental commentary. But judgmental commentary seems to be all you have. |

His dog was named after MJ Kopechne. I guess for a murderer he wasn't a horrible senator but he certainly carried a lot of baggage for the meager amount of good he did, mostly spending other people's money. I notice we never saw any of the Kennedy's tax returns either. |

"
What writest thou?"—The vision raised its head, “And with a look made of all sweet accord, Answered, "The names of those who love the Lord." "And is mine one?" said Abou. "Nay, not so," Replied the angel. Abou spoke more low, But cheerly still; and said, "I pray thee, then, Write me as one that loves his fellow men." The angel wrote, and vanished. The next night It came again with a great wakening light, And showed the names whom love of God had blest, And lo! Ben Adhem's name led all the rest. “ And to think, Harry wants to be at the top Of God’slist that he doesn’t believe in. |
