He made a couple of deployments to the Gulf region during Afghanistan and Iraq flight ops. The author of that article made a very common mistake but even the Navy often does the same thing in official press releases. There should be no "period" after the "S" in Harry S Truman. "S" wasn't an abbreviation of his middle name. He had no middle name. It was just, "S" :-) |
