North Korea has announced the suspension of all nuclear tests and ballistic missile tests. This appears to be a result of potential improving relations with the possible negotiated end of the Korean War. The North also dropped their previous requirement that the USA remove all troops from South Korea. Interesting that this happens after strong actions and sanctions led by Trump and others plus the Easter weekend trip by SOS nominee Mike Pompeo (who the Dems are in lock step to deny his confirmation). Meanwhile, back at home, the DNC has filed a lawsuit naming the Trump campaign, Trump's son, son-in-law and many others of colluding with the Russians to influence the 2016 campaign causing Hillary to lose. Gee. I wonder if that will give old Bernie some ideas. Oh ... and Cryin' Chuck Schumer wants to legalize pot. Otherwise, a pretty slow news day. |

Just about the time Nixon was really making headway with the Soviets and the Chinese, pushing the doomsday clock back a few hours, the democrats assassinated him politically over bull**** and extended the cold war another 15 years. Some say the country never actually recovered from the divisions in that witch hunt. |

It made the likes of Chuck Coleson and G. Gordon Liddy very wealthy men. Colson was a felon. He served seven months in the federal Maxwell Prison in Alabama as the first member of the Nixon administration to be incarcerated for Watergate-related charges. Afterwards, he found Jesus and got wealthy off it. Typical evangelical preacher bull****. Liddy was convicted of conspiracy, burglary, and illegal wiretapping, and got rich afterwards by appealing to the deplorables. You righties sure admire ill-gotten wealth, eh? |

Some say the country never actually recovered from the divisions in that witch hunt. Witch hunt? H. R. Haldeman, John Ehrlichman, John N. Mitchell, Charles Colson, Gordon C. Strachan, Robert Mardian, and Kenneth Parkinson were indicted for conspiring to hinder the Watergate investigation. John Den, Jeb Magruder and others had already copped a plea. Chapin was convicted of lying to the grand jury. Ed Reinecke was indicted. Nixon was named as an unindicted co-conspirator and he resigned as president. If these fellas had been Democrats, you'd still be wanting them all hanged from the nearest yardarm. Who do you think you are kidding with your pro-Repub bull****? I agree they screwed up thinking they could just make this go away but what Nixon did was pretty much standard operation for his predecessors during his career. Egregious illegal wiretapping, political dirty tricks and coverups were the hallmark of the previous 5 administrations. They simply changed the rules on him. I admit Clinton was caught in the same trap when it came to his extramarital affairs.. |

Sweden seems to be having it's problems tho. There are thousands of people living in the street there. There are also a lot being killed in bombings, knifings and even ... eek ... shootings. I didn't think they had a gun problem. |

Most of our educational problems are kids dropping out of school. Not colleges. You are the group that think everyone should go to college or they are failures. Big part of the school dropouts problem. 20% should be in university or college. 40% may qualify, but only half those have the gumption. We need trade school classes. Auto repair, machine shop, etc. kids get out of school and have learned little life skills. |
