We leave in AM to visit and play some golf with grandson at Virginia Tech. Might try a bit of
fishing in Claytor Lake State Park.

I played the first 8 holes with one ball, then put that one in the
water and 3 more in the woods. Then I had a par. We called it a day at
the turn.
The good news is my arthritic knee and a little tinge of back pain
from driving for 3 hours straightened out my slice. I was right down
the middle all day (except #8)

We played the Peter Dye River Course. A bitch. Wind was gusting up to 40mph. I shot a 108, so I got
my money's worth, maybe. The fees were almost $100 for me, but only $40 for him. I'm used to golf
courses in the $30's! At least I beat the grandson. We had a great time. Also played the VT
nine-hole course on campus. Should have stuck with that one the next day.

9 holes cost me $60 for 3 guys and it was only a few bucks more if we
had played 18 (Silver Dollar north of Tampa)
