Getting it ready for spring, John. Btw. It’s sat for 6 months with a half tank of non-treated cheap gas. I dropped a fresh battery in it and it fired right off. No complaints there. I don’t know about the nasty old gold wing being that easy...yet Gosh, I ordered a basket yesterday for my instant pot cooker. From amazon. How does it handle in the rain? Is it better than your Ducati? ... ???? I don’t drive motorcycles in the rain. You could well have deleted the prepositional phrase at the end and still been truthful. |

But I still occasionally ride my brother's bike. I've had motorcycles going back to the early 70's. Lost count of exactly how many but I can think of at least seven of them I've owned over the years. In all those years I have never heard anyone who rides a bike refer to it as "driving" them. Makes me very suspicious that your claim to owning one is nothing but a figment of your imagination. That took a while! |

Both terms are used, though ride is more common. When I started riding on my used Honda in the early 1960s, out in Kansas, I participated in some "rides" to Topeka, Wichita, Columbia, et cetera, but the guys would says "we are going to drive our bikes this weekend to Topeka...you wanna go with?" I wouldn't sweat it. Bull****. Like Luddite, with over 200K on motorcycles, I've never heard bikers refer to a ride as a 'drive'. |

I wouldn't sweat it. Sorry. I just can't begin to imagine guys with bikes saying, "we are going to drive our bikes this weekend to Topeka ..." "ride" our bikes ? Yup. "drive" our bikes ? Never. Kansas must have attracted some strange people. Only one. |
