Trump caught again. In a meeting with our prime minister he stated that the US had a trade deficit with Canada. Trudeau corrected him but he continued with his lies...even though he admitted that he had no idea what the trade situation is. Actually the US has a surplus with Canada,which surprised me.
Anyway, how do you negotiate with someone like Trump who will lie directly in your face. I guess we can only hope there are some honest and trustable people on his team.

Wishful thinking on your part. Trump has surrounded himself with
incompetents and yes men. If any of them offer up solid advice or
suggest that Trump behave himself, he fires them.

Actually can be either way. Depends on how you count the trade
deficit/surplus. Sort of like unemployment numbers. What, who do you
count. Count just trade goods, we have a deficit. Count tourism and
Canadians coming here for medical and we run a surplus. How much is
actually profit from tourism? Maybe a decent guess? Trade is pretty easy
to count.
