Better than me. Woke up to a call from “Microsoft technical support” a
little before 7am. Better than the 4:30am call a couple weeks ago.
Weather is clear and cold. 40 in the backyard. New fence people coming
today. Can not believe the prices. No inflation? 2 gates, and 160’ of
fence. $10,777.

The weather people didn't expect this. It's still snowing out there.
Probably another 2 inches or more since this morning.

Winter is a pain in the ass.

The last time I enjoyed snowy, cold winter weather was in junior high,
when we sneaked onto the Yale Golf Course for sledding and went ice
skating on the pond in Woodbridge just past the Parkway.

It was even colder out there in Kansas when I hoofed it two miles in the
snow, wind, and ice to that 8 am freshman physics class. Walking past
the campus nuclear reactor didn't help, and the Pi Phi girls didn't
invite me in for hot chocolate. :) That north wind would blow across
the eastern prairie with nothing to stop it.

Armageddon or nuclear winter here. ;-)
I did have to put on a T shirt to run with Deuce at 0600 tho. It was
probably close to 60 give or take but the wind was ~15 out of the
north up on FPL. That tends to be a wind tunnel if the wind comes from
the right way.

Very funny. The older we get the more of a pain in the ass winters are.
Mrs.E. is still sick but is very slowly recovering. She's stubborn as
hell and refuses to go to the doctor. But, I think she'll be ok.

I had (what I thought was) some Tamiflu that I bought last winter as a
precaution but never used. It was well within it's expiration date so
I gave her some last night and again this morning. Thought I was a hero
but upon further investigation what I gave her was not Tamiflu ... it
was "Theraflu", an over the counter severe cold medication. Didn't tell
her yet. Gonna see if it works first.

I want to but the neighbours insist. Who am I to stop them?
BTW..looked out the window and the guy on the corner was clearing my driveway with his snowblower when the guy who owns the place just north of him came up with his big Heavy Duty Ranch King truck and started to plow a hard spot. It would be dangerous for me to get out between the two of them with my scoop.

You only see pressure treated southern yellow pine here. It's cheap but
it doesn't look as nice as redwood or cedar.
