That's what they've always said about sailboat racing - all it takes
is a second boat somewhere in sight. With cruising sailboats, first
one to turn on the engine loses.

We raced turtles as a kid in a city sponsored annual event. PETA was
nowhere to be found but that was life in the 70's.
