This stuff fascinates me:

Scientist recently witnessed the visual evidence of two neutron stars
colliding that not only generated a detectable gravitational wave on the
LIGO system, confirming Einstein's theory, but it also confirmed a long
held theory that this kind of collision generates huge amounts of gold
and platinum to be sprewed outward into the universe, some arriving on
Earth.

The scientist have determined that this single collision generated
enough gold and platinum that their weight exceeds that of planet Earth
by a factor of 10.

Who's up for another interplanetary gold rush?

Now you are digging up 130 million year old news ;-)
You just have to be patient, in a few billion years that gold will
come here.

You might want to filter out the radium, uranium and plutonium that
will no doubt come with it.
