The doc called me last night at about 8pm. This guy must work hellacious hours. He'd just reviewed
the CT scan. There was more displacement than the x-ray showed, and the break is into the joint. So, Wednesday, if the hospital is available, he will operate - relocating the heel bone and screwing everything back together. The good news is that the 'no-weight-bearing' restriction will be for only 6 weeks as opposed to 8-12 weeks. (Of course there will be a few weeks of PT.) Yippee! |
