When Miami was the home to Cubans who came here to raise families and build businesses, it was Ok. When it became cocaine cowboys (at least half of who were white), shooting up the streets with automatic weapons fire, bribing politicians and warping the whole economy, the place became a **** hole. I know a lot of Cubans who moved to this coast because it was too much for them. The other problem, shared with the whole east coast south of Jupiter is just the congestion. Traffic over there is a nightmare. It is basically a southern version of the DC to Boston metroplex. Before you tell me some story, my office was in Ft Lauderdale and before that Miami. I also did inspections there after I left IBM. My kids lived there for many years. I have spent a lot more time there than you, not just sleeping in someone's guess room and going out to dinner somewhere. I was working and driving around. I will admit, I avoided it as much as I could but it could not be avoided nearly often enough. |

That is the group that drives the murder rate across the whole US but if we point it out we are racist. The racist thing is not pointing that out because he victims are predominantly of color too. It is just part of the denial liberals wear like armor. |

There was no mention of race until he jumped to the conclusion that "darker skinned people" were the subject of my and Greg's comments. *That's* racist. |

If you actually understood anything at all about me at all you would know I am very supportive of latinos and Cubans in particular. The criminals Castro dumped into South Florida during the Mariel boat lift would be the exception. |
